John Brew - Marine Artist 

I have owned and raced a number of dinghies and yachts on the east coast of Australia and I served for some years in the Royal Australian Navy Reserve. Five generations of my forebears were seamen or marine engineers and my grandfather captained sailing ships across the world even taking his bride around Cape Horn. My greatest pleasure these days is to work at capturing the many moods of the sea in all its power and serenity. The accuracy and detail of the subjects of my art is enhanced by building large scale models.
