George Menzies voice

George Menzies was born in Garmouth in the Highlands on the 10th March 1833. Garmouth is a small seaport in Urquhart Parish, Elginshire, on the left bank of the River Spey and about one kilometre south of its mouth at Kingston. George was the 4th child of Robert Menzies and Annie Isabella Shand.

This link will take you to a site with a recording of a young man from Elgin, the main town of Elginshire. Perhaps George sounded much like him.

This link with take you to a site with a recording and transcription of a man speaking with a Geordie accent. Click on "male voice". Perhaps Captain Brew sounded much like that.
